Two axes. A layout family answers how many works at once, and does
order matter — it is what an artist picks when they start a gallery, and
it is a real question they can answer about their own work in five seconds.
Five treatment dials sit inside whichever family was chosen, and any
family can wear any of them.
That split is the whole point. “Which template?” used to do both
jobs at once, and welding them together produced fifteen names for three
ideas — it would have produced forty-five once the grid and the sheet arrived.
The six presets below are doors, not rooms: each sets several dials
and names the combination, and every dial stays yours to turn afterwards.
⚠ The label dial is not built yet. It renders the wall label — title,
medium, dimensions, year — so it waits on the work record: there is nothing
to draw until a work has those.
